City of wine and bodegas, where the world famous sherry wine is produced. Also a city of horses, the horse has been a characteristic feature of life in Jerez since ancient times. It was the monks of the Carthusian monastery, who, in the XV century, after a long process of breeding, produced the thoroughbred horse that we know today.
